Well *grins*...

That was pretty good?

The first meeting was yesterday evening. A small and perfectly formed group gathered and once we'd discussed and agreed our expectations (or our complete openesss to destiny) we got stuck in.

'constructive feedback'
'comfortable'
'no milk'

Black tea and coffee on the table beside a laptop matching notebooks and saucer eyes. Minds whirred and ticked and cooed as the artist shared her work in progress. Questions, suggestions, furious scribbling but no concrete answers just a bit more space to stand up on.

Wooshed out of digital and onto sketchbooks ideas from start developing through to an end? maybe, maybe not Neon? New? Continue? More questions and discussions and encouragement. Introduced to other ways and challenged in how we should or should seperate our practice. Not and end but maybe one step forward.

Nothing and everything, outside in the city. Development, public, performance, posibility of rain in Yorkshire - possiblity for a solution.

Next month photographs hopefully and a review and a visit through the interweb?

Welcome!

Dialogues is an opportunity to have some time and space to discuss and reflect on your professional art practice with other artists. By meeting regularly we hope that we will be able to create a space where you can receive critical feedback about work in progress in a supportive way, much in the way you would take part in a crit session at art school. The sessions are free for ESA members and £3 a session for non members.
